The Dash -Wk 18

In reading obituaries as one of our reading assignments this week, and also recently experiencing the loss of a friend last week, I noticed a similar notation consistent with everyone…the dash between the date of birth and date of death.  The dash which includes all that each person experienced here on earth.  The successes and failures, the creation of family and friends, the passions and accomplishments of ‘bucket lists.’

This caused me to reflect on my own life and give thought whether the goals I have outlined in my DMP is the true nature of my dash.  Yep, it is.  But there is not a whole lot of time left for that to happen as I am in the last quarter of my life, so I need to step things up a bit.  Good thing I have this class to help me focus on the hero’s journey through life, and understand that anything is attainable when thought is fired with emotion.

“In order to grow we must obtain what is essential for our growth.  The ability to produce is found to be the real source of wealth of the individual.  It is for this reason that he who has his heart in his work is certain to meet with unbounded success.  He will give and continually give; and the more he gives, the more he will receive.”  Masterkey 18;24a and 25b.

Life is the accumulation of thoughts put into focused motion.  Even though each person has the ability to become the greatest ‘salesman’, not everyone does.  So it becomes imperative to live life to the fullest with no regrets as if it is my last day.  It is then that I know that I have enjoyed the gift of life.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not evil, to give you an expected end.”  Jeremiah 29:11

Onward and Upward,
